About Pantry Moth Larvae
The larvae are 10 to 13 mm long, cylindrical in shape, and slightly swollen in the middle. Auburn head with 3 teeth in palate. It contaminate pantry foods during the feeding process. The larvae like to eat the embryo part of grain, which affects the germination rate; they eat dried fruits and vegetables to form holes and notches, and often spin silk to connect grain and excrement, and net to seal its surface, so that it becomes lumpy and deteriorated.
