    Description

    A wonderful 48 page booklet made for the PHOENIX PANORAMA Bear Family Records box set first released in 1995 that is now out of print.  This is a deep overview of the tiny but prolific Viv Records, the owners, it's artists, loaded with photos, stories and a complete discography of all records released by the various Viv labels.  Check out the picture of Clingman with a very young Duane Eddy on the cover.  In depth notes by John P. Dixon.  Viv Records was founded by Lee Hazlewood in 1955 and later purchased by Loy Clingman, Dick Wilson and Buddy Wheeler in 1958.  The original label folded in 1960 and Clingman moved the office and studio to his house in Phoenix where he continued to record until the mid 70's.  This 12' x 12" booklet features a complete discography, stories and fantastic pictures, some in color, of Lee Hazlewood, Jimmy Spellman, Jimmy Johnson, Al Casey, Benny Banta, Donnie Owens, Miriam Johnson (aka Jessi Colter), Henry Thome, Long John Roller, Dal Perkins, Jimmie Gray, Jack Lane, Faron Warmer, Wild Flowers (Alice Cooper), Alvie Self, Doug Hardin, Don Cole, Loy Clingman, The Hobbit, Solid Ground, Don Rollins, The Scallywags, Leroy Fullylove, The Buffs, The Tads, Bob "Easy Deal" Wilson, The Door Nobs, Slim Marbles, Mike Condello etc......
